What benefits can I really expect?

The program is designed to teach your body how to safely move in a way that builds strength and mobility.  Our goal is to empower you with increased knowledge and specific skills around your hip health.  This, in turn will increase the mind body connection and aid you in taking responsibility for the health and healing of your body way past the duration of this program.   Of course, every individual is different, and results will vary depending on each body and effort. If you follow the course, you will receive benefit and it will put you on a path to hip health.

Schedule a consultation call for more information.

What if I still have pain after taking the program?

Every individual has different things going on with their body. In some cases you may be pain-free after participating in the program.  In other cases, the program may help diminish your pain and help you to navigate better in your everyday movement.

Is a group class really going to help me?

Our group classes are limited to 4 people.  This allows the instructor to see individual bodies and give corrections and modifications as necessary.  We feel group classes offer a sense of shared experience and community, giving all the participants an opportunity to connect with others in similar circumstances.

I have mobility issues.   Can I still take this program?

We can make certain modifications for many of the exercises. Our small group settings allow you to receive individualized attention.  Depending on your situation, this may or may not be the right program for you.  Or, you may be better suited to our 1-1 sessions.  We can make a recommendation on the consultation call.

My doctor says I need a hip replacement.  Will this program keep me from having to get surgery?

In short, that depends.

There are different reasons a person needs a hip replacement and each person is unique.  The decision of whether or not to undergo hip replacement surgery is a very personal one and best made between you and your surgeon.  A hip replacement should not be seen as a failure of any kind.  For some it can be life-changing.  Strengthening and releasing the structures of the hip will make you better prepared for surgery and help you to recover more quickly post-surgery.

Our goal is to help reduce your pain as much as possible and keep your hips healthy whether you’re pre-surgery, post-surgery or no surgery.  We can help you, wherever you happen to be in your hip journey.   Schedule a consultation and together we can determine if is this program is right for you.

Do I have to do the Initial Body Assessment?

Yes.  We ask each client to complete the initial Body Assessment so that we can see what’s going on with their body right now.  Different factors (recent activity, time of year, etc.) can affect your body and any chronic conditions.  To be the most helpful and for safety reasons, we need to see how you move.

I’ve already taken Pilates.  Is this program for beginners?

This is a program for all fitness levels.  It’s rehabilitative, but challenging.  If something isn’t working for your body, we can give options to modify.

Can I lose weight with this program?

Pilates is not a weight loss modality. It can be an amazing part of your weight loss journey.  Together with nutritional changes and healthy eating, it can help create strength, length and balance in your body as you lose weight.

What if I don’t like it?  Can I get my money back?

The two private Body Assessment sessions are designed to help you understand how we work and to help us understand your body and circumstancesAfter these two sessions, if either party feels the program isn’t a good fit, we will gladly refund your program fee minus $300.
